We analyzed the science of coffee brewing from the grounds up and patented an all-new process that could independently control every variable that mattered. We turned our backs on existing coffee machine design, and instead took inspiration from sports cars, premium furniture, and the Bauhaus movement. The One Limited comes equipped with Blossom’s state of the art coffee brewing technology. It features the most precise brew temperature control of any coffee brewer on the planet via powerful electrical heating elements in the brew group and boiler, both with precision-tuned feedback control. Water volume control is accurate within one percent, and all One Limited machines include Wi-Fi connectivity to access Blossom’s suite of connected features and brew recipe sharing. It’s no coincidence that this level of attention to detail is also found in iPads and lunar rovers — Blossom founders Jeremy and Matt boast experience at Apple and NASA.
The industrial design of the One Limited is second to none. Designed by Joey Roth, Red Dot Design award winner and creator of the acclaimed Sorapot, no corners were cut in the machine’s creation. The One Limited, hewn from solid sheets of Mahogany, stainless steel, and glass, looks just as at home in a MoMA exhibit as it does in a coffee shop or boardroom. The wood is sanded by hand and treated with an all-natural Tung oil — a process that takes over a week start to finish — but produces the best possible luster and feel. Mahogany isn’t your only choice either. We will match the wood in your cafe or office if desired. All glass parts are laboratory-grade borosilicate, with some components being imported from as far away as Switzerland. These material choices are both beautiful and functional — your coffee touches nothing other than stainless steel and glass.
The One Limited operates almost silently. When plumbed in, the overhead water reservoir fills itself silently using line pressure. Next, when a cup of coffee is to be brewed, gravity carries the specified volume of water from the reservoir to the boiler where it is heated to temperature on demand. When the water achieves the proper temperature, a whisper quiet air pump pushes it from the boiler into the brew chamber unit. Finally, heating elements in the brew chamber unit maintain the brew temperature precisely as specified by the user. This unique sequence of events obviates the need for the noisy pumps that typically accompany advanced coffee equipment.
Ease of use is a cornerstone to our design philosophy, and usage of the One Limited is so simple that anyone can learn to perfectly brew a cup of coffee in less than ten minutes.
